Max stay · 90 days

Israel's Foreign Ministry lists, country by country, whether a national passport needs a tourist visa or is exempted. Visitors from visa-exempt countries apply for an ETA-IL electronic travel authorization and can stay up to 90 days per visit; the Population and Immigration Authority says that if you are not eligible for an ETA-IL, you need to apply for a visa. Applications for B/2 tourist visas can be submitted at Israeli missions in the country of origin. Under the Authority's eVisa-B2 pilot, Indian and Sri Lankan passport holders residing in India and Sri Lanka can apply for a B2 visa online.

Passport validity: The Population and Immigration Authority says that to apply for an ETA-IL your passport must be valid for at least three months from the date of your arrival in Israel. The UK government tells British citizens their passport must have an expiry date at least 90 days after the date they arrive.
Travel insurance: No official source we could read states an insurance requirement for visa-exempt visitors travelling on an ETA-IL. The Population and Immigration Authority lists, among the documents for an eVisa-B2 tourist visa, health insurance valid in Israel for the entire period of the visit.
Return or onward ticket: The Population and Immigration Authority lists round trip tickets to Israel among the documents for an eVisa-B2 tourist visa. No official source we could read states a ticket requirement for visa-exempt visitors travelling on an ETA-IL.
