Trinidad and Tobago's Immigration Division publishes a list of countries whose citizens do not require visas for entry, among them Canada and the United Kingdom. The EU–Trinidad and Tobago agreement provides visa-free travel for citizens of the Union for a maximum of 90 days in any 180-day period and does not apply to Ireland, and an exchange of notes with South Korea lets each country's nationals enter without a visa for up to 90 days when not taking up paid activity. The Ministry of Foreign and CARICOM Affairs says a CARICOM national seeking to enter is granted a definite entry of six months, subject to all immigration requirements. Visas are applied for through the eVisa portal launched in April 2024, which replaced all previous and interim procedures; its FAQ says that to apply online you must be a foreign national from a country requiring a visa.
- Passport validity
- The Immigration Division's eVisa application checklist says the passport must be valid for a minimum of 6 months. The UK government tells British citizens that to enter, the passport must have an expiry date at least 6 months after the date you arrive.
- Blank passport pages
- At least 1 blank passport page.
- Return or onward ticket
- Tobago's official visitor site says business travellers and tourists must show a return ticket. The UK government tells British citizens, and Canada's travel advice tells Canadians, that they must have a return or onward ticket.
- Vaccinations
- Not an entry requirement: WHO's country list gives Trinidad and Tobago's country requirement at entry as no. WHO recommends vaccination for all travellers aged 9 months or over going to densely forested areas on the island of Trinidad, but not for travellers whose itineraries are limited to the island of Tobago.
