bestTimeToVisit
- Prima
- June–August brings the midnight sun, open highland roads and the best hiking; September and February–March offer good northern-lights odds with milder crowds — winter travel needs flexible plans around storms.
- Dopo
- No official source we could read gives a best time to visit Iceland. Canada's travel advice says roads in the highlands and other remote areas are open only in summer, and that winter tires are mandatory between November and April.

Honduras
FAQ answer
- Prima
- Usually yes. The Bay Islands price much of their tourism in US dollars and accept them readily, though change often comes in lempiras. On the mainland, stick to lempiras in cash outside hotels and malls.
- Dopo
- The UK FCDO says US dollars are widely accepted for exchange and payment in Honduras, and that British pounds are difficult to exchange. It advises checking with your hotel which ATMs to use, especially on Roatán.

Honduras
FAQ answer
- Prima
- The headline crime statistics are among the region's worst, but they are concentrated in the big cities — the Bay Islands and Copán see steady tourism with mostly petty incidents. Fly or use tourist shuttles between destinations, avoid night road travel, and use radio taxis in cities.
- Dopo
- Take care. The UK FCDO says Honduras has one of the highest violent crime rates in Latin America; most serious crime does not affect tourists, but incidents can happen anywhere, including tourist areas. It describes the Bay Islands as generally safer than the mainland, and Canada advises against non-essential travel to some areas, including Copán Ruinas. Both advise against road travel at night.
-
Honduras
Tip
- Prima
- Tegucigalpa and San Pedro Sula have serious street crime. Use radio taxis or app rides rather than hailing cabs, avoid public buses, and don't walk with phones or jewellery on show.
- Dopo
- The UK FCDO advises avoiding walking around Tegucigalpa, San Pedro Sula and other mainland cities, using radio-dispatched or hotel taxis for short distances, considering alternatives to public buses, and not displaying phones, jewellery or other valuables.
-
Honduras
Tip
- Prima
- Roatán and Utila are among the cheapest places in the world to learn to dive. Book insurance that covers diving — Roatán has a hyperbaric chamber, but treatment is expensive without cover.
- Dopo
- If you dive in the Bay Islands, the UK FCDO says there is a hyperbaric (recompression) chamber on Roatán and recompression facilities on Utila, but that emergency medical facilities on the islands are extremely limited — make sure your insurance covers diving.
