    Travel insurance

    Prima
No official source states an insurance requirement for entry. Many mainstream travel policies do not cover countries where governments advise against all travel, so check your cover explicitly includes Afghanistan.
    Dopo
No official source we could read states whether travel insurance is required to enter Afghanistan. The UK Foreign Office advises checking before you travel that you have valid and appropriate travel insurance for local treatment or unexpected medical evacuation.
  2. Zimbabwe

    Safety summary

    Prima
Most visits — especially to Victoria Falls and the main safari circuits — are trouble-free. Petty theft occurs in cities, cash and fuel shortages flare up periodically, police roadblocks are common on intercity roads, and demonstrations should be avoided.
    Dopo
Crime is moderate: mugging, pickpocketing and bag-snatching are common in city centres, especially after dark, and there have been smash-and-grab robberies from cars on the airport road and some Harare routes. Physical US dollar cash is short, power cuts are frequent, and demonstrations can turn violent and should be avoided. Stop at police roadblocks and get a receipt for any fine.

  16. Yemen

    Safety summary

    Prima
Yemen remains in active armed conflict and virtually all governments advise against all travel: risks include airstrikes and fighting, landmines, kidnapping and terrorism, and consular help is effectively unavailable. The island of Socotra is calmer than the mainland but is reached only on limited flights.
    Dopo
The FCDO advises against all travel to the whole of Yemen because of unpredictable security conditions, and says anyone there should leave. Since July 2026 the Houthis have launched strikes on Saudi territory and shipping, with a risk of further escalation; there is a high threat of terrorism and kidnapping, and landmines are a risk on the roads. British Embassy services in Sana'a are suspended, so consular help is severely limited.
