    eVisa fee notes

    Prima
The Foreign Ministry's e-visa page gives a consular fee of US$60 for the single-entry tourist eVisa (US$80 for business and medical eVisas). The same page says an eVisa is issued on an invitation from the Kazakh side, that paid consular fees are not refundable, that you may enter and leave Kazakhstan on an eVisa only through the international airports it names as Nur-Sultan and Almaty, and that you must carry a printed copy of the eVisa at the border and during your stay. The Visa-Migration Portal's application page adds that eVisas are not issued to foreigners travelling with children.

    Transit visa fee notes

Since 1 July 2026 Japan's consular fee order no longer sets a separate transit-visa fee (it was about 700 yen); a single-entry visa costs about 15,000 yen, collected in local currency. Needed only by visa-required nationals who pass through immigration; airside transit does not require a visa. MOFA says a single-entry visa is valid for three months and is processed in 5 working days from the day after the application is received (longer if it is referred to Tokyo).

North Korea is also not among the 74 countries and regions exempt from a visa.
