- Airstrikes and rocket fire between Israel and Hizballah escalated from 2 March; a cessation of hostilities was announced in June 2026, but fighting and airstrikes continue, particularly in the south. The FCDO advises against all travel to the South and Nabatiyeh governorates, parts of Beirut's southern suburbs, eastern Beqaa, northern Baalbek-Hermel and Akkar, and the Palestinian refugee camps, and against all but essential travel to several other areas. The FCDO says Beirut airport is open and operational.
